About the hotel
India's first Raffles hotel opened in 2021 on its own island in the middle of Udai Sagar Lake. A Raffles butler meets you on the lakeshore and takes you across by private boat – the crossing takes only a few minutes, but it sets the tone for the stay.
The island holds around 21 acres of gardens with the Aravalli hills behind. Buildings mix Rajput and Mughal detailing with a clean, modern finish. The brand itself goes back to the Singapore original of 1887.
It suits couples, families, travellers interested in culture, and small weddings or celebrations. The drive from Udaipur city and from Maharana Pratap Airport is about 20 minutes each.
